Federalism Monitor

The Institute for Federalism headed by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Peter Bussjäger has examined the performance of federalism in Austria in 2019, 2020 and 2021. Three representative studies ("Federalism Monitor" September 2019, October 2020, August 2021) allow conclusions to be drawn on the development of public opinion and provide insights into the role of federalism before and throughout the pandemic. The three representative studies conducted by the Institute for Applied Political Science (IFAP) were each carried out with large samples of approximately 1,000 respondents, which ensures a low degree of variation.
